Oh my Owen!
How you amuse me each day! Whether it is the way you point and squeel at people who you think are mistreating you to putting on my boots and trotting around the house. You continue to brighten my days and bring joy to our afternoons together.
This morning you ran around (and fell many times….) wearing my boots this morning. You have a minor shoe obsession and if we can’t find you…..You are usually tucked away in the shoe cabinet trying of EVERYONES’ shoes.
The photos below were took this morning while you were singing Yo GABBA GABBA and running in my boots. As I watched you, I couldn’t help but to think how quickly you are growing. In just two months (almost exactly) you will be two!!!! How the heck did that happen?
I swear it was just yesterday that I found out I was carrying a baby boy!

Anyway, I will continue to watch in amusement as you grow into this independent, caring, strong, smart little boy and try my hardest to document it with each photograph I take.

Now, we have to prepare for your grandparents! They will be here tomorrow! How exciting!?! You will have a blast with them. They will get to see how much you have grown in the last 6 months! How I have missed them!!!!!!

I love you so very much. You are my baby boy for now and always.

Hey there O

Well, I am taking on another project. BELIEVE THAT?! This consist of writing you a letter once a month with a group of wonderful photographers! I am very excited about this SPECIAL project and our journey.

First, I want to tell you it is joy  to have you in our lives. After having your two crazy awesome sisters we decided to try one more time for our baby boy. I will never forget that day the day I waddled (YES, WADDLED) into the doctor’s office at 20 weeks to learn  that I will be bringing a baby boy into this world.Your sisters will have a baby brother. Your dad and I will have a son. There were many tears of joy that day. Oh, what a great memory!

Fast forward 21 months later and here we are! Owen, you are your own little person and I adore you in every way. Every morning we drop off Alex to school, then Bay and we have 3 hours to ourselves. Just me and you. We play cars, We chase each other, Watch Yo Gabba Gabba, Sing, and We snuggle and snuggle…. AND snuggle. (that is my favorite.) I could hold you for hours, because I know how fast time goes by and soon you will be eight just like your sister.

What I enjoy most is our conversations. Today, you yelled at the very top of your lungs every time I talked on the phone. When I removed the phone from my ear to ask you what you would wanted you would giggle!! Seriously? Every time! I guess, that was your way to get me off the phone. Silly BOY! We talk about family, Yo Yo (that is what you call Yo Gabba Gabba), you tattle on your sisters, and you laugh and laugh!

Wow! I love watching you play the guitar and sing. The way you blare White Stripes! It is in the blood! BUT you have way better DANCE moves than your father..SHHH don’t tell him. At 21 months old you are a star! Always singing, pounding the drums or have the guitar in hand, my little musician. What cracks me up is your passion and LOVE for HEAVY ROCK!

This weekend we went bike riding! It brings me so much JOY to watch you. Owen, you FLY on this little Radio Flyer tricycle! FLY! You keep up with your sisters! When you ride the bike you scoot like a scooter by pushing by one leg. I laugh the entire time watching you. Boy, do you love your bike. As soon as we open the garage door you run to that little bike, jump on and take off down the sidewalk. What a sight!

The last 21 months you have taught me so much and I can’t wait for our years ahead. I love you so much!

I have heard the question, “What is a MINI?” lately. I want to take the time to explain it.
A mini is usually 20 minutes long and is in a distinct location or has a certian theme. A mini usually has one session after another, which means you must be on time. It is a lot cheapter then an entire session, but you do not get as many images.
That being said, you do have the opportunity to purchase all images during your session.

Below is a typical mini. I usually will get 40-50 shots and will narrow it down to the best 10-12 images. You will be given those images.

This is the Valentine Mini that I am offering for this weekend and next. The dates are Jan. 26/27th and Feb 1/2 at 4,4:30 and 5 time slots. I only have a couple left, but email me if you are interested in a “mini” for your sweethearts.

My husband has been out of town. It was my Bailey Leland’s fifth Birthday and a crazy week. Three kids to myself all WEEK. ALL ALONE!

At first, I dreaded it. I thought I would be wore out. Exhausted. Angry. and so on.

I have to admit, because my husband will return at midnight and I am reflecting on this week. I smile. Do not get me wrong, I am exhausted and there were moments I almost lost my patience. My conclusion is, I am blessed. I absolutely LOVE my life. I look at my three little miracles and I can’t help but become thankful. Thankful for my life. Thankful for motherhood. Thankful that these three amazing little humans are mine.

As I clean up the brownie batter that is from one end of my kitchen to the other I smile….
